Vampire Workstation

I have arrived in Rochester, and am happy to say I'm not staying in the ghetto, but a rather nice suburb. Unfortunately, it will be some time before I acquire my car, license, etc. until then, I won't be able to travel Roch and visit the game stores.

This gave me an idea, I used to use a program called "Magic Workstation," this is used to play Magic the gathering, World of Warcraft etc, online. The nice thing about this program though is the "Create your own card feature," which can be used to punch in text, symbols, and the like.

Considering my lack of ability to travel the city and find prospective players, as well as improve my playing ability, I figured we could use this program to play V:TES online.

This also led to another idea, we can play V:TES ONLINE! we could playtest, hold tournaments and anything else. This could be infinitely useful considering you guys only meet once a week to play, (and sometimes even that falls through).

There remains two major hindrances though:

1. The "Create your own card feature is limited to a standard "Magic: The Gathering" card format: http://vtipy.netroof.eu/data/images/chuck-norris-magic-the-gathering-car...

We would have to figure out the most efficient way to finagle the V:TES conversion.

2. We would have to individually input every single card that we'd like to include in online play.

This would be remedied by patience and hard work, I would volunteer a certain #, and hopefully other members would do their part.

Although it would be tedious, I believe this would be a huge attraction for our site, considering as of yet, there is no online source to play V:TES in this fashion. If anyone else is all about this idea, reply, and of course, anymore ideas/ remedies to these problems would be received with a lot of grattitude. But I think this could be a kick ass endeavor for the site

as well as myself.

BTW, first day i got here, there was a double murder executed in a drive-by fashion

GOOD GAME

As far as i've researched, there is no current V:TES patch for Magic Workstation. If we made the first Vampires patch for this program, I think we would pull a HUGE amount of hits for the site. If we don't take advantage of it we could be passing up a big attraction for the site.

yeah fuck that, this interface is 1000 times better than some instant messaging software.

its also completely visual, so its infinitely easier to keep track of.

I'm prepared to do a lot of the work.

  4. Great Idea

    Great idea.

I would be up for online games at any time. Unfortuantly I am not that much of a techy, so I do not know how much help I would be with the conversion process.
