I know it is still a bit early for discussion since the tournament is still 3.5 months away.
That being said the last thing that i want is to go to the tournament woefully unprepared. I would like to kick off the discussion a bit with a bit of a discussion of the local playgroups. At the last tournament that we attended in Ithaca as stated previously had an inordinate number of inner circle member decks, as in 30% of the field. However, i am pretty convinced that this won't happen again.
It would be very accurate to state that there will be a fair number of fighty decks at the tournament as the WNY scene is very aggressive even in the face of utter defeat. It is not unheard of to pointedly fight to the bitter end out of shear spite alone.
Whatever i play it will have to have a fair amount of combat or anti-fight tech. There is also an overwhelming urge to balance a table in the area that i have not experienced before so i can't play anything too overtly grotesque, which rules out the turbo embrace as this tends to draw immediate table hate and this balancing urge that permeates the area.
I am leaning towards a derivation of the Akunanse deck that i have posted. Now is the time to begin the discussion. Please give me some feedback and I will post the deck and derivations of it as i prepare for the qualifier.
